Electrical Engineer (# 068) Job Location: Lexington Park, MD (on-site Webster Field) Type: Technical Duration: Permanent Hours: 40 Hours Per Week Salary: Experience Based Job Requirements: Selectee will perform electrical engineering analyses and tasks for cameras, infrared sensors, and other optical systems for land-based and airborne platforms. Education: BS in Electrical Engineering Licenses or Certifications: Professional Engineering License a plus Experience: 3-5 years with cameras, infrared sensors, and other optical systems for land-based and airborne platforms Physical Requirements: Work in standard office, avionic laboratory and flight-line settings Clearance: Yes Position Description: Compass Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with domain expertise in cameras, EO/IR and optic sensors and systems for both land-based and airborne platforms in support of NAVAIR, NAWC-AD, Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) programs. Candidate selected must have a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution plus 3 - 5 years of experience supporting complex systems engineering and integration efforts in a DoD or other government contracting environment. Candidate must be knowledgeable of the DoD Series 5000 Acquisition Lifecycle Framework, and should have a working knowledge of the NAVAIR Systems Engineering Technical Review Process. Candidate selected will be responsible for supporting government engineers by performing all aspects of systems engineering and integration support for EO/IR systems including, requirements engineering, system trade-off studies, analysis of alternatives, and other systems engineering support tasking including sensor/systems/platform integration, test and evaluation, etc. Candidate may be required, on an as-needed basis, to provide project management support by maintaining information related to cost, schedule, and budget for specific tasks. Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communications skills and must be capable of working equally as well either independently or in a team environment. Candidate must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified environment and accordingly will be subject to a background investigation.
