Industry: Medical Devices and Supplies Description: PACS Network Service Engineer for the Chicago, IL area. This person will work from a home-based office and take service calls as needed on a daily basis. Qualified individuals must have at least 2-5 years of servicing medical imaging PACS, Computed Radiography and/or Laser Imaging systems in hospitals and/or medical imaging facilities OR with heacy Windows depth with MCSE & MCITP. There will be minimal overnight travel as most travel will be done in this general area.
Requirements
* Strong Windows experience; fundamentals and troubleshooting (workstation OS (2000, + XP), servers (2000, 2003), AD, domains, users, policies) -- MCSE 2003 or better or an MCITP certification is highly desired.
* Strong IT background, strong networking fundamentals and troubleshooting skills, working with Active Directory, clustering, RAID, WINS, DNS, Switches, Hubs, Routers, SAN, NAS, setting up IP Addresses, Subnets, etc.
* Strong customer skills, strong team player, good time management skills.
* Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, good administrative skills and excellent oral and written skills.
* Good mechanical skills -- ability to follow any manual instructions to replace any hardware components.
* Medical industry experience.
* SAN and VMware -- (EMC or any other vendors)
* X-ray experience is a plus
* Any database knowledge and experience -- understanding and troubleshooting - is a plus.
* Must have an Associates degree at minimum in Electronics, Networking or a Healthcare related field or equivalent military experience.
* Valid driver's license for local travel.
* Must be a U.S. citizen. The Company Will Provide
