Job Details:

Data Engineer for Equifax Inc. in Atlanta, GA, to perform design, creation, and interpretation of large datasets. Prepare data for analytical use by building data pipeline to gather data from multiple sources and systems. Integrate, consolidate and cleanse data, and structuring data for use by our clients in our solutions. Work with the business to develop business questions used to build datasets that answer those questions. Assist in the implementation of new data projects, APIs; implement data sources from external and internal sources to establish the data pipelines and transformation to support various formats. Analyze and profile data to design a data schema for various sources - this includes evaluating data cardinality, data cleansing requirements, frequency of updates, matching keys and the downstream uses of the data. Establish the data pipelines for data enrichment from various systems to leverage the APIs , streaming jobs, batch pipelines. Configure, code and test data preparation complex plug-ins in a variety of google cloud tools including python, java, google bigquery, google data flow, cloud functions, GKE, kubernetes, APIGEE. Implement and deploy with IT data pipelines to production environments. Develop new techniques for onboarding data sources and deliver feedback and requirements for data fabric metadata and technology teams where new features and processes in platform capabilities are needed. Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.

Requires: 

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience as a Data Engineer or related occupation working with analytics and data-based product development or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Data Engineer or related occupation working with analytics and data-based product development. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): SDLC utilizing tools such as Jira, sharepoint, servicenow for project management and collaboration; CI/CD utilizing tools such as Jenkins, UCD, Github, and bitbucket; Oracle database management, including setup, maintenance, and query optimization; ETL processes: Informatica PowerCenter and snowflake; Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) and AWS products like EC2, S3, SNS, SQS, Dynamo, DB, RDS, and Redshift, and IAM; data visualization and reporting using WebFOCUS; and scripting and automation: Python. Telecommuting position - can be performed anywhere in the U.S.
